Hello,

The Open Source Lab is looking for motivated students to work on Open Source projects and help build the OSL here at OSU.

Ideal candidates will be either of the following:

Systems Engineer:

  • Skilled with Linux administration
  • Familiar with installing, maintaining and using network services such as Apache, PHP, MySQL, Tomcat4, Postfix (SMTP), LDAP, etc.
  • Work will include system administration, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of OSL servers and services, and assisting administrators of our hosted clients (some of which include the Mozilla Foundation, Gentoo Linux, and the Freenode network).
  • Ability to collaborate with people worldwide in an online environment, such as Internet Relay Chat.

Developer:

For developers, you don't necessarily need to have all of the above skills. You do need to have good understanding of development techniques and tools.

If you are looking to learn in a fast-paced environment while working with some of the finest minds in the Open Source community then please send a resume and cover letter to jobs@osuosl.org .

Best regards and we look forward to working with you!
